Do you have a knack for collaboration and want a varied and developing role? As an energy controller, you will support the business in energy issues, where there are significant changes in connection with the ongoing transition to fossil-free operations. Location: Oxelösund. We welcome your application.
Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future and sustainability of our planet. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming fossil-free to a large extent. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.
As an energy controller, you will be the coordinator for the company's energy issues. You will work with a wide range of energy issues, from operational tasks to larger strategic questions, as well as the implementation of regulatory changes.
Our transition to fossil-free operations is in full swing, and we are heading into an exciting time. In connection with the transition, our energy balance will change significantly. This means that we also need to develop our way of working with energy and media issues.
Your main responsibilities
- Initiate improvements and savings in the energy area.
- Support the business in energy issues, both in daily operations and in large investment projects.
- Contribute to the development of a modern Energy Management System (EMS).
- Develop goals, compile and follow up on the company's energy usage.
- Prepare an annual energy budget based on the company's production plans.
- Conduct energy surveys (EKL, the Energy Survey Act for large companies).
About you
- You are an engineer in a relevant field.
- You have experience working with energy and media issues, preferably within the industry.
- You are good at collaborating as you need to build a large network within the company.
- You can work independently and goal-oriented.

We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to the balance between work and personal life.
