We are looking for a contact nurse to join the team working with gynecological cancer at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic USÖ. We have a close collaboration with the Oncology Clinic.

You will be part of a team with other contact nurses, coordinators, doctors, and other staff groups working together around cancer patients. We are looking for someone who is used to working independently but is also a team player. You need to be able to communicate well in both spoken and written forms as a large part of the job involves providing information to patients and relatives. Active participation in multidisciplinary rounds, etc., is expected.

The obstetrics and gynecology department operates at Örebro University Hospital, Lindesberg, and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's health care. At Örebro University Hospital, there is an obstetric section with specialist maternity care and fetal diagnostics, a delivery ward, and postnatal care. The gynecological section provides outpatient, inpatient, and emergency gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating department.

Job Responsibilities

Telephone counseling, outpatient work, surgical planning, handling referrals, and caring for patients according to standardized care pathways, SVF.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse, preferably with further education in oncology or midwifery. Contact nurse training 7.5 credits.
