Who are we?

The product Container and virtualization is operationally managed by the Container team and the Virtualization team, who with a great deal of self-leadership drive their respective platforms towards ever-increasing demands for availability and security.

The Container team is responsible for the Employment Agency's on-prem container solution (OpenShift), i.e., development and operational environments for applications, as well as pipeline tools for the CI/CD flow.

The Virtualization team is responsible for the Employment Agency's on-prem virtualization solution (VMware), i.e., the foundation for a large number of mission-critical systems.

We tackle complex problems together, enjoy learning from each other's skills, and value having humor with us every day. Occasionally, we engage in activities outside of work, such as attending Kubernetes-related conferences and Meetups.

At work, we face new challenges as the virtualization landscape changes and more and more purchased applications require container technology. As an authority, we need to be cautious with the use of the cloud and not bind ourselves to individual suppliers. Open source is highly interesting, and we need to work out a good mix. We are dedicated to realizing the capabilities identified by our area architects so that the Employment Agency's sixty product teams and their applications are offered a really good development and operational environment from us!

Basic requirements for the position

• Higher education as a computer engineer, systems scientist, or other IT-related field
• Current work experience from leading roles within IT
• Good technical understanding and interest in the operation and development of IT systems and IT infrastructure
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish (non-Swedish speakers will not be considered)

Other merits for the position

• Work experience in development according to agile methods and a pronounced DevOps culture
• Work experience in change management as an agile coach in a large IT organization
• Work experience in operations and management according to ITIL
• Relevant courses and certifications as a product manager

It is important to us that you are eager to take on a role as a product manager in the IT infrastructure area. Our direct users are developers and technicians within VO IT.

As a person, you are proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and are good at communicating both orally and in writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the role.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement, which may begin with a six-month probationary period.
