This is your mission

As a solutions architect at the Security Police, you will work on designing concrete, secure, and feasible system solutions that meet the organization's requirements and visions.

The role involves close collaboration in cross-functional teams consisting of product owners, system developers, business specialists, and analysts. By shaping and realizing sustainable IT solutions, you create tools that help find new perspectives and connections in the operational data sets within the Security Police's intelligence operations.

To ensure quality, you are responsible for ensuring that the solutions developed are adaptable, scalable, and have high performance and maintainability. Through well-founded architectural choices, you contribute to stable solutions over time. You make complex solutions understandable through clear documentation and communication, both verbally and in images and text.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna. The work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the opportunity to work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur.

The qualifications we are looking for

Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position:

  • Academic education in computer science, data science, or equivalent education or work experience deemed equivalent by the Security Police
  • Several years of experience as a developer in a data-intensive environment
  • Experience working with the design of systems for storage, processing, and analysis of large data sets
  • Experience working in an organization with high security requirements
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written

Employment requires Swedish citizenship.

You who are applying may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working hands-on with databases for structured and unstructured data sets
  • Been primarily responsible for developing an architecture for a system from scratch
  • Good experience in Linux environments
  • Practical and current experience with container technologies
  • Good experience with cloud solutions
  • Familiarity with collaborating with information security or IT security functions
  • Experience working with highly sensitive data

The Security Police has high demands for security and confidentiality, therefore we expect you to have a high security awareness.

Employment conditions and benefits

Employment through the Security Police means placement in a security class that requires Swedish citizenship. Employment also requires a satisfactory result in the security screening with background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
