The municipal executive office works on behalf of the municipal council. We lead, manage, support, and follow up to ensure that the entire municipality operates efficiently and effectively. In total, we are about 400 employees distributed across five departments. About the unit The Digitalization Department at Huddinge municipality is on an exciting journey in the coming years as the municipality aims to become one of Sweden's leading digitalization municipalities. The department consists of the sections Architecture and Innovation, Integrated Business Development, Digital Operations, and Digital Support. We are about 80 employees and are led by the Director of the Future, who reports to the Municipal Director and is part of Huddinge municipality's management group.

Our mission is to deliver IT and digitalization services that are tailored to the goals and needs of the operations while proactively leading the operations through the digital transformation.

About the role Huddinge municipality is today both the management owner and operator of an extensive municipal fiber network that spans the entire municipality. This makes us one of the largest players in the market, even compared to private actors.

As the manager of the fiber network, you will own the strategy, development, and management of Huddinge municipality's fiber network. You will report to the head of the Digital Operations section and be part of an engaged team that drives digitalization forward for the entire municipality.

Your responsibilities as the manager of the fiber network:

• Further develop and anchor the strategy for the municipality's fiber network.
• Be responsible for the development and expansion of the municipality's future networks.
• Prepare investment calculations and budgeting for the network.
• Collaborate and anchor with operations and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and implement the design of fiber network work, including excavation and infrastructure.
• Lead projects and collaborate with contractors.
• Manage land issues related to the network.
• Be responsible for contingency planning and the network's operational reliability.
• Coordinate expansion projects with other utility networks.
• Ensure quality in work and projects.
• Establish and follow up on management plans for the existing network.
• Participate in collaboration meetings with various utility stakeholders.
• Report and follow up on the status of the network and projects.

Your profile We prefer that you have a post-secondary education in telecommunications, networking, IT infrastructure, urban development, electrical power, or another relevant education for the role. We are also looking for someone with several years of experience in a similar role within a municipality, public sector, or larger organization. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented, self-driven, and motivated to contribute to development and change. You are attentive, clear, and communicative, and take responsibility when needed.

• Good ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with strategic responsibility and management of fiber networks, including design.
• Knowledge and experience of land issues related to network expansion.
• Communicative and experienced presenter.
• Good experience in management coordination and project management.
• High integrity and professional ethics.

• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
