ILS Manager/Project Manager

BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik is in an expansive phase due to new business opportunities worth over 10 billion SEK.

To meet the high demand, BAE Systems Hägglunds is recruiting additional employees who can and want to lead projects. As an ILS Manager/Project Manager, you will work within what is called Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). In this role, you will lead projects and work with many interfaces both externally with customers, partners in the customer country, suppliers, and internally within the project team.

Your future challenge

As an ILS Manager/Project Manager, you will work within what is called Integrated Logistic Support (ILS). ILS encompasses everything needed to operate the vehicle system over a long period. This includes developing maintenance concepts, spare parts, instruction books, manuals, and training for the customer necessary to repair and use the vehicle. This work takes place both before manufacturing, during manufacturing, and after delivery has been made.

Your mission is to lead, further develop, and ensure that the project team meets the set requirements. You are expected to make decisions, foresee risks, and drive the project forward.

The overall tasks consist of:

• Responsible for leading, planning, and executing ILS parts in a project
• Continuous time estimation and resource planning, as well as planning and monitoring the project budget against project costs.
• Assessing risks, developing action plans, and communicating with the project team.
• Ensuring that things are captured in time and do not fall between the cracks.
• Ensuring that work is conducted according to relevant guidelines and routines.
• Engaging and motivating colleagues in your area so that they perform as well as possible and deliver the right things at the right time, to the right quality.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of ILS Management in the line and to the responsible project manager in the project.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with good technical competence and the ability to quickly understand new work areas. You may be an educated engineer or have other relevant education. You may also come from the Armed Forces where you held a leadership role. It is important that you have experience in successful project management where you have delivered good results. Since we work in an international environment, you need to be able to communicate fluently in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

You are a person who thrives in a communicative leadership role and has the ability to engage and motivate others to achieve successful results. Independence, the ability to build and maintain relationships, strong planning skills, and a clear focus on the customer are central qualities for you. You are analytical, methodical, and structured while showing a high capacity to deliver in complex situations. As a project manager, you work with many interfaces both externally with customers, partners in the customer country, suppliers, and internally within the project team, the ILS organization, and other internal interfaces within Hägglunds, which makes your ability to build networks and good collaborations important.
