ABOUT THE POSITION

As an Android Platform Developer at Alecom, you play a crucial role in developing the technical backbone for our advanced infotainment and management systems. You will work not only with apps but at the platform level with Android System Services, frameworks, and hardware-near integrations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

The role involves overall responsibility for the functionality and development of the Android platform. You will, among other things:

• Develop and maintain platform components for Android-based infotainment and operational systems.
• Implement features in Java/Kotlin and integrate them with native C++ layers.
• Drive OS upgrades: Ensure that the platform migrates seamlessly between Android versions and maintains compatibility with hardware and APIs.
• Quality assurance: Conduct design and code reviews and support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Collaborate: Work closely with customer projects and cross-functional teams to translate complex needs into intuitive, stable systems.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a strong passion for the Android platform and enjoys digging into the system's inner workings. You have the ability to understand how hardware and software interact to create a reliable whole.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience in Android and AOSP development (platform level).
• Expert knowledge in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android version upgrades, API changes, and validation in embedded environments.
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins).
• Very good knowledge of English (Swedish is an advantage for customer contact).

Meritorious:

• Experience with native integration in C++.
• Background in Automotive Infotainment or similar complex environments.
