JOB DESCRIPTION

As the on-duty officer, you are responsible around the clock for various security functions across the entire Hinseberg operational area, including both the remand prison and the prison. You monitor the daily security work and take action as needed. The on-duty officer is available during daytime hours from Monday to Sunday and serves, outside of office hours, as the local highest operational decision-maker under the duty manager. You represent the employer, anchor decisions made, communicate clearly and directly, and contribute to a safe and effective work environment. As the on-duty officer, your tasks also include following up on security routines and daily security work, staffing of vacancies, operational responsibility during incidents, as well as being responsible for security assessments and planning transports.

You possess problem-solving and analytical skills that help you make the right priorities even under stress and high workload. Your ability to create new relationships and collaborate with others is seen as crucial in this role. You support and lead staff in a positive and developmental manner. You take great responsibility for achieving set goals, and you have a personal maturity that allows you to adapt your actions to different situations and demonstrate good judgment in all circumstances.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Complete upper secondary education in the form of final grades or a high school diploma
• Approved basic training from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills
• Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience as an on-duty officer in a prison and/or remand prison
• Experience in operational security work
• Leadership experience
• Relevant language skills
