Fire Engineer for the Community Safety Unit
Nerikes BrandkårÖrebro län, Örebro
Previous experience is desired
Nerikes Brandkår is a municipal association where Örebro, Kumla, Hallsberg, Lekeberg, Laxå, Askersund, Nora, Lindesberg, and Ljusnarsberg collaborate on fire and accident prevention services. We are one of the larger fire service associations in Sweden with our 28 fire stations, approximately 500 employees, and an operational area covering about 260,000 inhabitants.
We are in an exciting phase of expansion and development. An operational collaboration between Värmland, Dalarna, and Örebro counties (Rescue Region Bergslagen, RRB) started in 2020, and we collaborate in a joint control center together with the Police and SOS Alarm.
In early 2026, another fire station in Örebro, Station Öster, will be inaugurated.
The Community Safety Unit works to prevent accidents, primarily related to fire. This is done through collaboration with other authorities and organizations, conducting inspections according to LSO and LBE, and granting permits according to LBE. The unit is also responsible for chimney sweeping issues. In addition, the unit works with information and advice to the public in the area of fire safety.
We need to strengthen our team with two additional fire engineers for a rewarding and enjoyable assignment.
Nerikes Brandkår actively works to be an equal opportunity workplace. Therefore, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
