In this advertisement, we are primarily looking for individuals who can work at least six weeks during the period from June to August. This is a summer position with excellent opportunities for extension for both extra and need-based employment before and after.

Patrolling Guard:

Here, the main task is to protect property, buildings, and premises from fire, theft, and damage. This is prevented or addressed through supervision and alarm measures. Supervision can occur through both indoor and outdoor patrolling of, among others, warehouses, offices, garages, stairwells, and basements. You visit surveillance objects, check that no unauthorized persons are in the area, that windows and doors are closed/locked, and that alarms are activated. Supervision can also be reactive, meaning that supervision becomes necessary only after, for example, an alarm is triggered. The work is often conducted in a vehicle, either single or double-staffed.

Stationary Guard:

Here you work with our clients as an important representative of their operations. We have many different clients in areas such as retail, entertainment, finance, real estate, healthcare, and information technology. For example, you may work in reception environments and monitoring centers. Furthermore, the following is a selection of common tasks: reception of staff and visitors, monitoring of access control systems, key management, security rounds, reporting incidents, access control, office services, etc.

Security Guard:

You work with the surveillance of critical infrastructure. Where the demand for security is maximal. As a security guard, you can either be trained as a guard with a shortened security guard training or have completed a longer basic training as a security guard. A security guard approval from the county administrative board is also required. We have high demands on our security guards regarding personal qualities, experience in a public environment, and legal knowledge. The employment is classified for security and we conduct a security review with a background check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Therefore, you must be a Swedish citizen.

Common to all positions is that you need to be calm, meticulous, flexible, and resilient. You have the ability to work independently and can combine good service with a pronounced security mindset, as well as having good communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

In addition to the personal qualities we are looking for and describe in the various assignments, you need to be of legal age before starting the assignment, have a high school diploma with a passing grade in Swedish 1, have good Swedish skills in both spoken and written form, and for the vehicle-based positions, a B driving license is also required.

You also need to be without a criminal record*, drug-free, have a stable economy, and good health and physical condition to be employed by Avarn Security.

It is advantageous if you are a trained guard, but it is not a requirement. We offer training to the right person – so don’t let previous experience stop you! For those who are motivated and engaged, there is an opportunity to start employment immediately after training. To serve as a security guard, a successful security check is required. We will have a guard training in Örebro in mid-April 2026, and to be offered the position, you need to be able to attend training at that time.

Previous experience in service professions and additional language skills beyond Swedish and English are a plus.
