Administrator for the Legal Department at the Swedish Armed Forces

Do you want to influence and contribute to Sweden's security and ensure that we can continue to live in a democratic country? As an employee of the Swedish Armed Forces, you will become an important part of Sweden's defense. Together with competent and engaged colleagues, you will receive responsibility, development, and challenges.

The Legal Department is part of the Defense Staff at the Headquarters. The department is the central legal function within the Swedish Armed Forces and consists of about 60 employees divided into five sections.

Main Responsibilities

The Swedish Armed Forces is now seeking several administrators for the legal department's staff section. The main task of the section is to provide administrative and other support to the department's managers and employees. The section also has certain own areas of responsibility, which include independently handling certain types of cases. The tasks also include being responsible for the secretariat of the Armed Forces' Personnel Responsibility Board.

You will also be part of an administrative team where everyone needs to be able to back each other up so that managers and employees have the best possible conditions to perform their respective tasks.

We also hope that you can develop over time to support the defense lawyers in preparing simpler legal matters.

The position involves many points of contact within, and to some extent outside, the Swedish Armed Forces.

  • Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite and Excel

Personal Qualities

You have a sense of service, are self-driven, and take your own initiatives. You have high integrity, well-developed communication skills, and are outgoing and confident in your role. The work places high demands on delivery, which requires you to have a good ability to independently prioritize and organize your work.

You should also have the ability to see potential for change in administrative routines and be able to suggest changes in such routines. Finally, you are flexible and pragmatic and have good collaboration skills. As a person, you should thrive in a demanding and dynamic environment where the pace is high at least at times.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
