Strandskolan is a Montessori-inspired school run as a parent cooperative. The school offers care and education for children aged 1-16 years, with 340 children and students (of which 60 are in preschool).

The school is located near public transport for those commuting. The position is a part-time role at 50%.

QUALIFICATIONS

Therefore, we are looking for you who are an engaged person, used to taking your own initiatives, and who has good collaboration skills, motivated to work in a smaller organization with short decision-making paths and high ambitions.

The work places high demands on independence in the professional role and good structural ability. A salutogenic approach, good collaboration skills, and an ease in building trusting relationships combined with empathy and the ability to make sound decisions are important qualities for success in the role. You will have the opportunity to develop and influence the operations in a creative and supportive environment where we strive to work evidence-based and based on the latest research in various areas.

You will be part of our student health team consisting of a special educator, special teacher, nurse, school psychologist, and school management. Together, we primarily work health-promoting, preventive, and outreach within the school through presence and accessibility where the students are, aiming to ensure students with good self-esteem, engagement, study motivation, and good knowledge. The collective student health team's task is to support the student's development towards the educational goals. In addition to the work at the school, you will also collaborate with other actors such as pediatric medicine, child psychiatry, primary care, social services, child health care, and youth clinics. A network with the school's MLA responsible is in place with regular meetings.

You who are applying are a licensed nurse, and if you have a specialist nursing education in child and youth, district, or school nursing, it is an advantage. Previous experience as a school nurse and/or medically responsible is also an advantage. We place great importance on personal suitability and the ability to collaborate and build relationships with students, teachers, and guardians.

In the position as a school nurse at Strandskolan, you will work creatively, structured, and flexibly, both independently and in a team with a health pedagogical perspective. Primarily, you will work health-promoting and preventive according to the school health care's basic program.

The school nurse's duties include the usual school nurse tasks that are essential parts of the aforementioned work.
