Your Responsibilities

About the Role

As a materials engineer at Siemens, you will work with advanced metallic materials and additive manufacturing (3D printing of metal). The role combines laboratory work, analysis, and process development, with a strong focus on quality and industrialization for series production.

You will be part of a team of experienced materials engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within production, development, and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct metallurgical investigations of additively manufactured metal parts

  • Perform microstructure analysis and mechanical testing using established laboratory techniques

  • Participate in the development and optimization of processes for series production of 3D printed metal components

  • Document and report results in a clear and structured manner

  • Collaborate with materials experts and other technical functions in a dynamic development environment

Your Profile

We expect you as an applicant for this role to have/ be the following...

  • Master's degree in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or equivalent

  • Strong theoretical understanding of metallic materials and manufacturing processes

  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented, structured, and with a strong desire to learn and develop

Meritorious:

  • Knowledge of Swedish

  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing is an advantage
