The 2nd helicopter squadron is recruiting helicopter technicians for the service platoon at the 216th Aircraft Maintenance Company.
216th Aircraft Maintenance Company
The 216th Aircraft Maintenance Company is one of several companies that are part of the 2nd Helicopter Squadron. The 216th Aircraft Maintenance Company performs preventive and corrective maintenance on Helicopter 16, UH60M Black Hawk. The company's personnel mainly consist of technicians, mechanics, and flight service technicians (TIF).
The 216th Aircraft Maintenance Company is structured with a company command, two platoons: Service and Preparation Platoon, and a Material Group. The Service Platoon consists of helicopter technicians and works with preventive and corrective maintenance on Helicopter 16. The Preparation Platoon mainly consists of flight service technicians (TIF) and assistant mechanics, and the platoon carries out daily preparation tasks for the company.
Helicopter 16 is a versatile helicopter system whose capabilities are often in demand within the Armed Forces. The unit frequently participates in exercises with other units.
Main Responsibilities
As a helicopter technician in the Service Platoon, your work will primarily consist of performing line maintenance, base maintenance, and corrective maintenance on Helicopter 16. The Service Platoon is also responsible for training new technicians and for preparation tasks when the unit conducts exercises and missions. As a helicopter technician in the service platoon, you will be part of a work team consisting of B1, B2 technicians and technicians in training.
In addition to workshop duties, you will be part of the development of the combat unit. Military skills such as weapon, medical, and other general military training will be maintained.
Qualifications
- SE-EMAR/EASA certification category B1, B2
- Officer's degree
- Good knowledge of English, as manuals, reporting, and some training are conducted in English
- Class B driver's license
Meritorious
- SE-EMAR authorization category B1.3 and B2
- Type training on Helicopter 16
- Class BE, C, CE driver's license
- Military driving licenses
Personal Qualities
The work as a helicopter technician often occurs in small groups where cooperation, accuracy, and humility are prerequisites for flight safety. Flight safety permeates all our activities. Even though the work usually occurs in pairs or smaller groups, it is required that you can work independently under your own responsibility.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
