Your Role

Do you want to be part of developing the future of aviation technology - while growing in your own professional role? We are looking for a curious and solution-oriented Production Engineer who wants to contribute to improving and developing our production processes. With us, you will become a key person between design and production and play a central role in the manufacturing of the Jas 39 Gripen.

You will belong to the section Industrialization Manufacturing Processing, within the area of pipes and welding, whose main task is to be responsible for production and tooling documentation.

Examples of your main tasks:

• Create, develop, and improve production documentation for welding and pipe manufacturing.
• Ensure that operators have the correct build sequences, manufacturing methods, and clear instructions.
• Manage and implement changes from design and production.
• Work with model-based production documentation in Delmia and VPM.
• Drive improvement work and streamline our working methods.
• Participate in both smaller and larger projects related to production development.

You will be part of a team of about 20 production engineers working in the areas of pipes, welding, sheet metal, surface treatment, painting, and additive manufacturing. We are a group that enjoys collaborating, supporting each other, and sharing knowledge. Your Profile

We believe you have experience in production engineering work, improvement work, or similar. Perhaps you are currently working as a production engineer or designer - and/or have completed an engineering or vocational education. If you have not worked with electrical systems and cabling before but are curious about the area? Perfect - we will teach you!

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

• A background in welding or pipe manufacturing
• Be meticulous, structured, and enjoy finding solutions.
• Good communication skills and thrive with many contact points.
• Be a humble team player who contributes to a positive work climate
• Fluent in Swedish and have good knowledge of English.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in larger business systems.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting drawings

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
