Your Role

Your words have the power to keep aircraft safely flying around the world. As a Publication Engineer for GlobalEye, you will develop technical manuals that guide maintenance procedures and ensure optimal performance for our global fleet. The role is central to both safety and efficiency.

You will work both independently and collaboratively to gather, process, and structure technical information in a clear and consistent manner. All technical documentation is produced according to Simplified Technical English (STE).

In close collaboration with engineers, you will produce manuals and service bulletins for technicians performing maintenance on GlobalEye aircraft as well as Saab 340 and Saab 2000 systems. Your technical understanding and communication skills directly contribute to ensuring the airworthiness of the aircraft.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create and update technical manuals in Saab's publication system, focusing on maintenance documentation
• Work with structured technical information and act as a link between development and users
• Search and analyze information in databases and interpret drawings and technical documents
• Collaborate in a team of about 30 people responsible for manuals for GlobalEye, T7, and Saab's civil aircraft

The role is positioned within an area that works with technical support, modifications, and technical publications related to both civil and specialized aircraft platforms. The tasks range from further development of existing systems to support for operators worldwide.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technical writer who preferably has a technical background. You have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where structure, collaboration, and quality are crucial.

We would like you to have:

• Technical education or equivalent work experience
• Several years of experience as a technical writer
• Good technical understanding and a strong interest in complex systems
• Experience with Simplified Technical English as well as XML, SGML, iSpec 2200, and/or S1000D
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good collaboration skills and ease in building professional relationships
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and pedagogically
