The Special Flight Squadron at Skaraborg Air Wing conducts flight services with radar and signal reconnaissance aircraft, transport aircraft, flight maintenance services, and work on continued airworthiness. The squadron is a rapid response unit and can be deployed at short notice for missions both nationally and internationally. As a Material Planner in the Armed Forces, you play an important role in an authority that is experiencing strong growth. Material Planners belong to the Flight Systems Section 100/102, which includes operational system engineers, planning engineers, material planners, and technical accounting officers. Together with competent and dedicated colleagues, you will receive responsibility, development, and challenges. All this with an employer that encourages a balance in life and good health.

Main Responsibilities

• Material planning of assigned material regarding maintenance, modification, and availability, as well as determining actions for material.
• Ordering component maintenance and modifications.
• Inputting and updating current data systems.
• Participating in meetings related to the maintenance of the material system.
• Status monitoring of material in operational follow-up systems.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Approved secondary education
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• Driving license B for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form

DESIRABLE

• Experience in aviation material service
• Experience working with data systems for maintenance tracking
• Type or familiarization course on SAAB 340
• Experience and knowledge of material planning
• Knowledge of systems Fenix and PRIO
• Knowledge of continued airworthiness management and administrative procedures for continued airworthiness

Other

Employment type: Temporary position for 6 months with the possibility of permanent employment.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Linköping.
Civilian position.
The work requires physical and mental ability, conducting business trips, participating in training and exercises in the war organization. Duty and readiness during evenings and weekends may occur.
Start date as soon as possible by agreement.

Skaraborg Air Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Armed Forces' collective resources for transport and special flights. We conduct basic and position training for conscripted recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many missions. In Sweden, operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport air cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
