About the workplace

Kronaskolan F-6 is located on the heights in Älvängen with a view over the Göta River valley.

We work with the fundamental idea that all children are everyone's children, to create the best conditions for becoming a really good school.

The school has a full-size sports hall, subject rooms for art, home economics, music, crafts, and a school library. The students have voted that Kronan's dining hall should be called Restaurant Juvelen. Here, students eat breakfast, lunch, and snacks prepared in the school's kitchen. The building is constructed as a passive house, which means it is energy-efficient. Among other things, the building produces its own electricity through a solar energy system on the roof.

Kronaskolan consists of three units; primary school F-6, preschool, and adapted primary school. Together, we have a shared responsibility for about 900 wonderful children and students. Kronaskolan F-6 is located at two different addresses, in close proximity to each other. Preschool to grade 3 is divided into two buildings, Madenhuset (formerly Madenskolan) and Kronan.

Job Responsibilities

You want to help drive school development in Ale municipality and care about our students, their education, development, and progression! Your clear motivation is to develop the pedagogical work with the goal of meeting the needs of all students in the organization. Your role is to be part of the EHT at Kronaskolan F-6. This means that together with your colleagues, you ensure that students achieve their goals through creativity, good leadership, and creating a safe environment.

As a special educator or special teacher, you are a qualified conversation partner for the principal, work teams, and individual educators in special education issues. You are genuinely interested in participating in the preventive and promotional work to remove barriers and difficulties in both the school's and after-school care's various learning environments.

Through guidance to staff within the school, after-school care, and leisure clubs, flexible groups, and special education groups, you contribute with in-depth knowledge that helps develop the pedagogical work in the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for two people: one with a special education degree and one with a special teacher degree and primary school teacher education. It is essential for us that you put the student and the student's success at the center. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can work independently and in teams where you have a guiding role towards educators. You have documented experience working with students in need of special support. You need to have stable leadership, good organizational and collaborative skills. You also have very good knowledge of digital tools and teaching materials. We expect you to have a professional self-leadership where you stay updated on new research, literature, and your professional digital competence.

As a person, you have the ability to create good relationships with both students and adults. You see the different needs of students and can also spread this knowledge in work teams, in the local student health team, and in collaboration meetings. You have solid relevant knowledge and can easily translate it into practice. By listening, showing interest and respect, you work well with others with the student's success in focus.

You are communicative and adapt your communication according to the recipient and situation so that the message gets through. You are curious and encourage dialogue and questions, and you can see more than one possible solution. The role also requires that you are confident and have the ability to stand by your professionally considered opinions towards students, guardians, and in collaboration meetings regarding our students.

Meriting is a strong solution focus, high digital competence, and very good organizational skills. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
