Job Coach and Team Leader for New Day Activity Center

Do you want to help build a brand new day activity center from the ground up? We are looking for three job coaches and one job coach with team leader responsibilities for the new operation at Gårdskälsgatan.

This spring, we are opening a completely new day activity center at Gårdskälsgatan in Skiftinge. Here, we create a safe, creative, and developing environment for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. We are now looking for someone who wants to be involved from the very beginning — shaping work methods, building structure, and contributing to an operation where each individual has a meaningful everyday life. You will be part of an engaged team where we work closely with participants, one person at a time, focusing on relationships, understanding, and the individual's daily condition. With us, you will have the space to think innovatively, be creative, and contribute to creating something truly great.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a job coach, you will work to create clarity, structure, and predictability in everyday life. You will design stimulating activities based on the individual's needs, interests, and abilities, and conduct pedagogical work according to PFA and low-arousal approaches. The role also includes providing support in communication, social interaction, personal care, and daily routines, as well as collaborating with the network around the participants.

For the role with team leader responsibilities, you will also lead and distribute the daily work within the team, while supporting and motivating your colleagues through your leadership. You will be an important part of the team and collaborate closely with the unit manager and your colleagues in the operations. You will handle administrative tasks and ensure that substitutes are appointed as needed in close cooperation with our substitute coordinator. You will also be responsible for onboarding new hires and maintaining a holistic perspective. Since this is a new role, it will evolve over time based on needs and dialogue with the unit manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed and approved secondary education, preferably as a nursing assistant, preschool teacher, or teaching assistant. You have at least two years of current experience working with individuals with intellectual, physical, and/or mental disabilities. You are accustomed to using IT and documenting. It is a plus if you have training in PFA (pedagogical approach and working method) and EBP (evidence-based practice) and experience in applying these methods in practice.

You should have experience in meeting individuals with challenging behavior and those who communicate using alternative communication methods. As heavy tasks and physical activity are involved, we expect you to have good physical ability and preferably a B driver's license for transportation to outings and similar activities.

For the position with team leader responsibilities, it is advantageous if you have completed leadership training or held some form of coordinating role. You also need to have a good ability to plan your time, prioritize tasks, and ensure that the operation runs smoothly and safely for both users and relatives. The day is constantly changing, and you need to adapt and prioritize, so it is important that you can be flexible.

Regardless of which role you are applying for, you are a calm and secure person with great patience and a good ability to understand the needs of others. You are driven by creating development and thrive in an environment where you can be involved, think innovatively, and contribute to building an operation from the ground up. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of responsibility, who can work independently, and is meticulous, solution-focused, and resilient under stress. You also have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team.
