Trainee as Hotel Manager with a focus on Social Media

Hotell Skinnargården is looking for a driven and creative trainee as hotel manager with a strong focus on social media and digital marketing. We are a centrally located hotel in Malung with 50 rooms, perfectly situated near Grönlandsparken and ski areas like Kläppen and close to Sälen. As part of our growth journey, we want to strengthen our online presence and guest experience through innovative marketing. About the role

As a trainee hotel manager, you will assist in the daily operations of the hotel, but with a main focus on developing and managing our social media channels (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X via @skinnargarden). You will:

• Create engaging content that highlights the hotel's unique offerings, such as our varied breakfast buffet, central location, and events in Malung.
• Analyze and optimize our presence on booking sites like Booking.com and Expedia, including SEO optimization for better visibility.
• Manage guest reviews and feedback to improve our online reputation.
• Develop campaigns that increase direct bookings and reduce reliance on external platforms.
• Feel free to combine the role with your own business: You can run your own social media accounts or other digital ventures (not location-dependent), as long as it benefits the hotel's goals. For example, if you have your own influencer or content creation business, we can integrate it into our strategies.

The role is flexible and can be partially performed remotely. You are expected to be on-site in Malung at least part-time, corresponding to about two weeks per month.

Who are we looking for?

• You are at the beginning of your career, perhaps freshly graduated from a hotel or marketing program, or have relevant experience in social media.
• Strong knowledge to learn more about social media tools, content creation, and analysis (e.g. Instagram Insights, Google Analytics).
• Interest in the hotel industry, with an understanding of guest experiences and digital marketing.
• Creative, results-oriented, and independent – you thrive on driving your own projects.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
• Meriting: Own business or freelance work in digital media, as well as experience in SEO or reputation management.
