What does the job as a nursing assistant/caregiver at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful life in their later years. We always start from the resident's will and own ability and focus on the healthy aspects. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the individual needs of the elderly. Typical tasks may include assisting with daily care, medication administration, documentation, support during activities, serving meals, and light cleaning in the residents' apartments. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. It's a very exciting job!
About Vedbo elderly homeVedbo elderly home is located in Eriksborg. The facility has 98 places spread over 4 floors. 23 of these places are dedicated to individuals with dementia.
The care staff consists of nursing assistants and caregivers. Our health and medical staff includes nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
Vedbo Elderly Home is close to public transport, with a bus stop for line 3 within a short walking distance. A stone's throw from Vedbo, you will find both green areas and Erikslund shopping center.
With us, you can receive your salary and available shifts directly on your mobileAs a summer substitute with us, you will have access to Cappy – a smart app that gives you an overview of your working hours and salary. In the app, you can see worked hours, earned salary, preliminary salary payments, information about available shifts, and how much you can earn on an extra shift. With Cappy, there is also the possibility to withdraw part of the earned salary for extra shifts/hourly shifts immediately after completing a shift.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.
It is advantageous if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.
Previous experience in elderly care is strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
We also prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.
Employment type: Summer substitute
Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment
Start date: June, July, and August 2026
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a possible employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
