Are you the one who makes it possible to stay at home? We are now looking for nursing assistants for Askim home care.

We are based at Askim Square, which you can reach by bus, bike, or car.

Working in elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy and well-being. The goal is for care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good care and social support. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while making a difference for those we are here for. Our operations are running every day, which means that working hours are during the day, evening, and weekends.

Working in home care means that you support and assist the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You will travel to the individual's home on foot, by bike, or by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more. You will also perform health and medical tasks according to instructions and delegation from a nurse. All documentation is done digitally.

The individuals we meet need support both during the day, evening, and weekends. Therefore, your working hours will be scheduled.

As a nursing assistant in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

About You

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of protected professional title, or can show that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced.
• You need to either have a B driver's license and driving experience or be experienced in cycling and able to bike for work.
• Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Basic computer skills (IT knowledge).

Meritorious but not a requirement:

• Experience in care and support work, preferably within home care.

Personal Qualities

As a nursing assistant in home care, you are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. In your role, you take responsibility for your and the group's tasks and think of those we are here for and their best interests.

Work in home care consists largely of independent work and personal responsibility, but you also work together with your colleagues to ensure that the care recipient gets what they need. You communicate information clearly both verbally and in writing.

The tasks vary based on the care recipient's needs, so it is important that you can adapt how you work when things change.
