Job Responsibilities

As a specialist nursing assistant at Rådahemmet, you should be able to work with a high degree of independence and flexibility and be responsible for driving, planning, and initiating work tasks. You should also support the unit manager and be able to lead the daily care work. The role of the specialist nursing assistant includes introducing and mentoring new/future colleagues and contributing to the development of staff within the organization, making them confident and independent in care and nursing work. You should be a cultural bearer of good care and nursing. In this role, you will work with advanced advocacy assignments and specialist assignments within the unit, and in some cases, also across the organization. At Rådahemmet, you will be responsible for driving quality work regarding deviations and their management, a task that also requires good pedagogical skills. We also see that you contribute to the development of our team meetings and other forums where we work with the user in focus.

In the role of specialist nursing assistant, in addition to the usual tasks of a nursing assistant, you will:

  • Support the unit manager based on the unit's needs and be able to lead the daily care work.
  • Provide support in areas such as dementia, palliative care, mental health, and substance abuse and comorbidity.
  • Monitor the external environment and engage in cross-professional collaboration.
  • Be responsible for and educate colleagues according to individual advocacy assignments. Also mentor and support in the work as a permanent care contact and handling of welfare technology.
  • Perform health and medical care tasks, primarily in cases that require high medical competence.
  • Take responsibility for driving development work towards a good quality operation.

You will work day/evening shifts and full-time. Härryda municipality is working to reduce the proportion of hourly employees and instead increase the basic staffing. The municipality therefore applies co-planning, which means that you will do some shifts at other units, but your main working hours will be at your home unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who sees opportunities rather than obstacles and who works with a salutogenic approach with high quality in care work. To succeed in this role, you should have good collaboration skills, work with quality awareness, and have the ability to create trusting relationships. As a person, you are empathetic, flexible, and responsible with a genuine interest in working with people. You want to drive, support, and take responsibility for planning, initiating, executing, introducing, leading, mentoring, and collaborating in the work at the unit.

Competence Requirements

To be considered in our recruitment, you need to meet the following:

  • Educated specialist nursing assistant, approved grades from care and nursing education (vocational package 1500 points) and at least 200 YH points or 60 HP in care and nursing.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, preferably with experience in social documentation.

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Further education in dementia, psychiatry, welfare technology.
  • Previous experience in quality work.
  • Experience with Combine, TES, and the BPSD Register.
