ABOUT THE POSITION

As a production manager at our client, you step into a key role where you combine operational support with strategic improvement work for Manual and Combined lines. You act as the link between the business area manager and production, with a primary focus on maximizing productivity, quality, and a strong production culture. By identifying bottlenecks and driving improvement projects within Lean and 5S, you ensure that flows are optimized and standards are adhered to. The role does not involve formal personnel responsibility, but you act as a mentor and sounding board for operators to create engagement and drive discipline in operations.

You are offered an influential role with direct reporting to the business area manager, where your technical expertise and coaching leadership give you the mandate to optimize both production flows and work culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

The tasks vary as the role is broad; some examples are below:

  • Line optimization and operational support: You support the production lines in daily operations by analyzing downtime, identifying bottlenecks, and providing concrete solutions to maximize flow.
  • Culture and mentorship: You serve as an inspiring mentor for operators and ensure that values and production discipline permeate daily work.
  • Analysis and follow-up: You measure and follow up on critical key performance indicators such as OEE and cycle times and report status and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You work closely with order planners and quality managers to synchronize production with customer requirements and quality goals.
  • Technical and process support: You participate in startups and changes to ensure that machines and processes are used safely and efficiently.
  • Drive improvement work: You initiate and lead projects within Lean, 5S, and Kaizen and propose changes in work methods and equipment.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Has at least 2 years of work experience in production, preferably multi-line operations.
  • Has knowledge of lean and workflows.
  • Has excellent communication and pedagogical skills.
  • Has fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Practical experience in troubleshooting and operational problem-solving.
  • Experience in improvement work in a production environment.
  • Knowledge in automation or mechanical engineering.
