Our 1,800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our services based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

We are looking for someone interested in working as a physiotherapist with us. You will have a varied, stimulating, and developing job. We offer a full-time temporary position for 6 months with a possible extension, starting by agreement.

Your mission

Your tasks will consist of assessment, treatment, follow-up, and training of both youth and adults with symptoms, diseases, and injuries in the musculoskeletal system, central and peripheral nervous system, as well as psychosomatics.

As a physiotherapist, you have independent responsibility for assessment and treatment at both individual and group levels, where the choice of actions should be based on available evidence and existing guidelines. We have our own gym at the health center that allows for group training. The assignment includes working in a team with other professionals at the health center such as doctors and rehabilitation coordinators. You have the possibility to work from home part-time.

Your competence

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist and would like you to have previous experience of working in primary care. You must understand the importance of good patient flows at the health center, and the work requires that you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team with other professionals, but also have the ability to work independently. We would like you to have experience in leading groups.

As a person, you are clear in your communication and structured in your working method. You enjoy thinking innovatively that can also be implemented in practice. You have good pedagogical skills and can easily create contact with both patients and colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Our operations

Östervåla is located in beautiful agricultural and forestry countryside in Heby municipality northwest of Uppsala. The health center has 34 dedicated employees consisting of doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, physiotherapists, and dietitians. We are responsible for about 6,400 listed patients. The operations also include the district nurse's clinic in Tärnsjö. We work based on the patient and strongly focus on quality and patient safety.

The health center belongs to the administration of Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala. We want you to thrive and develop with us.
