Our Operations

The maternal and child health psychologists are part of the Children's Specialist Clinics in the region. These are included in the section for Children's Care and Health within the Academic Children's Hospital in Uppsala. The section includes, in addition to the Children's Specialist Clinics, the Child Protection Team and Central Child Health Care. There are several interdisciplinary teams consisting of psychologists, doctors, speech therapists, physiotherapists, pediatric nurses, and special educators. The Children's Specialist Clinics in the region are located in Uppsala, Knivsta, Tierp, Östhammar, and Enköping. We staff the entire region.

Your Mission

You will be a member of a group of maternal and child health psychologists tasked with working health-promoting, preventive, and therapeutic with expectant parents and families with children aged 0–5 years. The mission includes counseling, psychological treatment at care level 1, targeted parental support, group interventions, developmental assessments, and action planning. Additionally, consultation with MHV and BHV, collaboration with healthcare neighbors and authorities, and method development are also included.

Your Qualifications

You have a recognized degree in psychology. Experience in the field or equivalent is an advantage. You should have good communication and collaboration skills as the work involves contact with various individuals and professions. It is also important that you can establish good relationships with our patients and their relatives. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before hiring, extracts from the suspicion and criminal records will be taken.

We Offer

Fixed-term employment, 1 year, 100%. Start date by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the recruitment period.
