Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we adapt our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

Your mission

Now you have the chance to join us on our journey into the future and continue to shape new working methods and patient flows together with your colleagues. Your tasks consist of reception work with varied duties as well as a great opportunity for supervision of students and AT/ST doctors. There is also the possibility of assignments at BVC, SÄBO, UM, and MVC according to your wishes. Some on-call/standby duty is also included.

Your competence

We are looking for a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine with a Swedish medical license and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You enjoy working in a team with the patient at the center and would like to contribute to the development of the operations. Furthermore, we place great importance on personal qualities.

Our operations

Knivsta Health Center is a stable and well-staffed health center where we focus on patient continuity and quality. We are centrally located next to the train station with good communication opportunities to both Uppsala and Stockholm. Knivsta Municipality has a young population and rapid growth, which means we are at the forefront of new working methods and digitalization. For us, collaboration and development within the profession and the operations are important, and we appreciate if you share our values. We have 12,500 listed patients and about 55 employees.

The health center belongs to the department of Close Care and Health, Region Uppsala. All professions are represented at the health center with physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, dietitians, district nurses, nurses, asthma and diabetes nurses, nursing assistants, midwives, and medical secretaries. Therefore, we have great opportunities for multiprofessional teamwork with various patient education programs, such as COPD and pain groups where we benefit from our gym. The gym can also be used by employees during breaks, before or after working hours.

The operations include reception services, maternal and child health care, youth clinics, and nursing homes. The health center's medical group currently consists of 11 specialists and 5 ST doctors, BT doctors, and AT doctors. We have a stable medical group with good cohesion that enjoys collegial discussions and where improvement work and quality are a major focus. The medical group often has joint lunches either in central Knivsta or on our lovely outdoor terrace when the sun is shining.
