Our Operations
The specialized palliative care at Akademiska sjukhuset is conducted at the Palliative Center, which consists of a Specialized Palliative Care Unit (SPVA), the department for specialized home care (ASH), the palliative consulting team (PKT), and the palliative clinic. At the Palliative Center's units, patients with various diagnoses and ages are cared for, sometimes including children in need of specialized palliative care in their own homes or in special accommodations.
The Palliative Center is currently at the start of an exciting development journey, with the ambition to strengthen both the operations and palliative care in general. We are now looking for driven employees who want to be part of the joint effort to strengthen, develop, and broaden palliative care within our region.
Your Mission
We work multidisciplinary, and doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers collaborate closely together. Being a Physiotherapist with us is an exciting job where you will meet patients and relatives in many different situations. You will become part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while you will also work independently. The position includes work in the Specialized Palliative Care Unit (SPVA) and in the Department for Specialized Home Care (ASH). The clinic may also become relevant. The tasks include providing advice and support regarding physical activity, non-pharmacological pain relief (TENS), testing of assistive devices, assessment of mobility and functional ability, and resting positions, etc.

Your Qualifications
You are a Physiotherapist with a few years of experience. It is advantageous if you have experience in palliative care. You need good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement, as home visits are part of the job. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Your Competence
You always put the patient in focus, are responsible and motivated in your work. You are a positive colleague who contributes to a good working environment.
You are structured and communicative. Furthermore, we see that you are stress-resistant and enjoy working in a team. We see that you have good collaboration skills, are independent, flexible, and work with quality awareness.
We Offer
A maternity leave substitute, at 75-100%, starting May 1, 2026, until September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
