Our Operations

We at Neuroanesthesia are responsible for anesthesia during neurosurgical procedures in the brain and spinal cord. The responsibilities also include acute thrombectomies and anesthesia during neuro-interventions in radiology. In the fall of 2020, we launched a new MR hybrid operating room, which is the second of its kind in Sweden and also the largest, which we are very proud of. Here we can perform MRI during ongoing surgery. The technology allows for more precise results in surgeries for conditions such as brain tumors. Our operations run around the clock. We also provide anesthesia for two related services: ear and eye surgery.

Here you will have the opportunity to work with various types of surgeries from children to adults, as well as healthy to ICU patients. The surgical procedures can be planned or urgent and vary in duration. With our wide range of anesthesia and patient clientele, we offer you a broad experience in anesthesia. We strive for good collaboration and an open climate between our various professions to ensure a good flow, a positive atmosphere, and effective teamwork in our operating rooms.

You are a trained specialist nurse in anesthesia care.

Your Skills

The variation in work means that you as an applicant should be clear, attentive, and innovative. You should also be able to adapt to urgent situations as we have a large number of emergency cases. You focus on the patient and contribute to a good working climate, are responsible, and motivated in your work.

We Offer

We offer a permanent position as an anesthesia nurse. We have individual scheduling and staff the department around the clock. During the first six months, you will work Monday to Friday to settle into your role in the home department. After that, you will begin an on-call training where we share on-call lines with gynecology, pediatrics, and ear/plastic surgery. You will receive an individual introduction across all sections tailored to your previous experiences. We offer continuous professional development in close collaboration with our education coordinators.
