You will work in the Infrastructure and Facilities Department, which is part of the community building administration. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of parks, natural areas, streets, and other public environments as well as lighting. We are also responsible for planning and implementing the municipality's investments in these areas as well as the implementation phase in land and development projects. Within the department, traffic and parking issues as well as permits regarding public land are handled.

We are 15 employees within the department.

Your new job

In this role, you have a holistic perspective on the park and landscape area and are involved in shaping the municipality's public spaces. Your work spans management, development, and design of park and nature areas, where you contribute to attractive, sustainable, and well-thought-out environments for the municipality's residents.

You participate in the work of developing proposals for investments and reinvestments in parks and landscapes and follow the projects all the way to implementation. With an operational perspective, you are involved in all stages of land and development projects, where you review relevant documents and ensure that the solutions work sustainably in management.

The role also includes, when necessary, designing smaller facilities yourself and preparing documentation for procurement of consultants and contractors. You participate in procurements, guide designing consultants, and participate in investigations with a clear client perspective.

You are also involved before and during the takeover of facilities from projects, and follow up on these during the warranty period. A more creative part of the assignment is the responsibility for the municipality's summer flower program, where you contribute to color, comfort, and identity in the public space.

Contact with citizens is an important part of the work. You handle feedback and suggestions and prepare motions related to the park and landscape area.

You are also expected to actively participate in internal development work, focusing on operational development and efficiency in operations, maintenance, and investment activities.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is/has

• Educated landscape architect
• Experience in park and landscape-oriented work in a commissioning public organization
• Experience in designing, sketching, and preparing documentation for design
• Good ability to collaborate with others as well as to plan, lead, and coordinate work
• Good ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Good ability to create order and structure

You have experience leading and coordinating efforts to achieve a defined goal. You have experience working in project form. You are comfortable taking significant personal responsibility and take initiatives that you ensure are completed. You are receptive and unpretentious as a person.
