Your job this summer

As a summer substitute and nurse at Helhetsvården, you contribute to making every day as meaningful and secure as possible for our guests at the end of life. You will work as needed, from occasional shifts in the spring to longer, scheduled periods during the summer, and become an important part of a close team with nursing assistants. Your job may involve:

• planning and following up on palliative interventions with a focus on symptom relief, self-determination, and security,
• making your own assessments and contributing to structure in daily life,
• being responsible for medications and working with medical technical equipment,
• guiding and supporting nursing assistants in the team, including through delegation,
• being close as support for both guests and relatives and contributing to calm and security.

Who we are looking for

With us, palliative care is based on each person's self-determination and what matters most in the moment. Therefore, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to work with palliative care, where both professionalism and humanity are important parts of the mission. You are observant, empathetic, and confident in making your own decisions while collaborating well in the team. You communicate clearly and thrive in a mentoring role towards the nursing assistants.

Your qualifications

• Swedish license as a nurse
• Experience in making assessments and handling medications and medical technical equipment
• You speak and write fluently in Swedish and have basic computer skills
• Education and work experience in palliative care is a merit.

Bräcke Hospice Helhetsvården

Helhetsvården Hospice is located close to nature in Bräcke park and has space for ten guests. Here, there is room for both professional care and human presence – a place where guests and relatives can be together. The operation is nurse-led with support from doctors from the palliative team at Sahlgrenska. The team also includes nursing assistants, a social worker, and a deacon who together create security in what matters most.
