About us

Strängnäs Health Center is a stable, continuously developing health center with broad expertise and an open climate. The health center has approximately 15,000 registered patients and is a region-driven operation.

At the health center, we work in teams, which promotes collaboration between staff groups and provides opportunities for knowledge exchange and continuity. We have several specialists in general medicine with good experience and an interest in mentoring.

At the health center, there are specialized nurses with clinics in asthma/COPD, heart failure, and diabetes. We have a memory team and coordinating nurses. There is access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehab coordinators, psychologists, social workers, and medical secretaries. Our premises also include foot care specialists and a dietitian. There is also a unit for SSIH – specialized medical care at home, as well as BHV at the family center. We are responsible for two SÄBO (special accommodations).

Together with other health centers in Strängnäs municipality, we staff the primary care emergency service that operates during the day at the health center on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The health center also participates in staffing emergency services within the Strängnäs municipality area. The emergency services are managed by specialists in general medicine and experienced ST doctors nearing the end of their training.

Your tasks

Your tasks consist of varied reception work with both acute and planned visits. You will meet patients with a wide range of reasons for seeking care. Strängnäs is located 35 kilometers from the nearest emergency hospital, making us a natural first point of contact. With us, you will have close collaboration with all professions at the health center. You will have time set aside for mentoring each week, and there is always the opportunity to ask your mentor or another colleague if you need advice or help. Half a day each week is reserved for study time and half a day for administration. There is also the possibility of remote work to some extent by agreement.

Your qualifications

You are a licensed physician. You always have the patient in focus. You can prioritize between different tasks, have a good attitude, and a professional approach. We place great importance on personal suitability for the role, where the ability to collaborate is a crucial part.

Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement for the position.
A valid driving license (B) is a requirement for the position.

Permanent employment, full-time or by agreement with a start date according to agreement.
