About Us

We who work at the dialysis unit are a stable group consisting of nurses and doctors. We would like to invite a nurse to become our colleague and have the opportunity to work with a mix of nursing and medical technology and develop kidney care at Kullbergska Hospital. We have close collaboration with dietitians, physiotherapists, social workers, and the region's other dialysis units located at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna and Nyköpings lasarett. The dialysis unit has nine physical dialysis stations. The operation is open Monday to Saturday during the day.

Your Responsibilities

There is a well-developed introduction program for new staff. The introduction lasts six weeks. Competence development in the area, both practically and theoretically, occurs continuously thereafter. You will be assigned a mentor and receive support in your development from nurses, especially during the first year.

As a dialysis nurse, you will be responsible for a number of dialysis treatments per work shift. You are part of a team with other nurses. You will also be responsible for nursing care for a number of patients where you have the opportunity to follow and plan your patients' care over time based on treatment goals together with the patient and the responsible doctor. Another task will be to actively work with patient education so that patients feel involved and take responsibility for their treatment. Continuous development is something we see as a given. We hope you want to contribute with your ideas, skills, and engagement. We have individually planned schedules.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with an interest in learning and developing in the field of nephrology. Experience in dialysis care is an advantage but not a requirement. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, enjoys working in a team, and has a positive attitude towards every patient and colleague. Responsibility, empathy, teamwork skills, and quality awareness are important qualities. We place great emphasis on personal attributes.
