Gränges has set a clear goal – to be climate neutral by 2040 – and is now looking for a mechanic for the rolling mill workshop who wants to contribute to this journey.

Your Responsibilities

As a mechanic at Gränges, you will have a varied and technically challenging role. You will, among other things:

• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on the rollers and bearings of the rolling mills
• Work on improvements and adaptations to enhance operational reliability
• Contribute your expertise in a production environment where flexibility and problem-solving are key elements

The role involves independent responsibility but also close collaboration with colleagues in both maintenance and production.

Working Hours: The position starts in a 2-shift (day/evening) schedule and transitions to a 3-shift schedule after training.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a background in mechanical maintenance, preferably from an industrial environment. To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A technical education, such as from a vocational program in industry or equivalent
• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings, mechanical tolerances, and rolling bearings
• Swedish proficiency in spoken and written form at a level that allows you to communicate and document your work safely

Experience from process industry and forklift or overhead crane certifications are advantageous.

As a person, you are solution-oriented, meticulous, and used to taking responsibility. You enjoy practical work, thrive in collaboration, and have a safety mindset that permeates everything you do.
