The Vehicle Unit is part of the Police Authority's finance department, which is tasked with designing and managing the agency's strategic governance and follow-up, determining what the agency should achieve in terms of results and effects. The department allocates financial resources to ensure that operations can reach the decided direction and follows up to ensure that the funds are used effectively and sustainably.

We also ensure a range of other conditions for the police to achieve their goals, for example, by meeting the operational needs for suitable premises, vehicles, materials, and equipment. The Vehicle Unit has national responsibility for the Police Authority's vehicle supply, internal traffic safety, and vehicle service.

Job Description

In the role of vehicle technician, you will primarily work with advanced troubleshooting and repairs. This includes the basic vehicle and the police system such as emergency lights, control units, and vehicle electronics. We also perform service on police authority vehicles as time permits. Work at other locations may occur.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • High school and/or post-secondary education in the automotive field, or equivalent experience that the employer assesses as equivalent for the position
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and/or vehicle electronics
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience from an authorized workshop
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Swedish issued driver's license B for manual vehicles
  • Swedish citizenship

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Training in vehicle electronics
  • Experience working with MS Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as workshop systems
  • Relevant experience working with superstructure equipment
  • Experience working with tire machines
  • Swedish issued BE or C/CE driver's license

In the role of vehicle technician, you are expected to be meticulous, responsible, and independent. You should also be flexible, have a good sense of service, and possess good collaboration skills.
