We are currently looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant for a 31-year-old guy living in the city center and who wants to become part of a stable and experienced team of personal assistants.

As a personal assistant in this assignment, you will work to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the guy you are working with. Together with your colleagues, you will work based on a jointly developed weekly schedule where recurring routines are established, but where there is also room for spontaneity and fun activities. You communicate verbally with each other but work with complementary visual support when planning the days.

One of the established and recurring activities is swimming at Nordpolen in Boden (twice a week). As a personal assistant, you will participate in the activity and therefore need to be able to swim.

You will work with personal hygiene, transfers, dressing and undressing, and communication on a daily basis. In addition to this, there are regular tasks found in all households; laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc.

You who apply for the position need to

- Be confident in yourself and communicate calmly and clearly.

- Enjoy daily routines while also being able to be the stable point when unexpected situations occur.

- Have patience and allow things to take time without becoming stressed by it.

- Be at least 18 years old.

- Tolerate pets and be able to swim at a swimming facility.

A driver's license is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Experience in similar tasks/training can be an advantage, but the most important and decisive factor is the personal chemistry between you and the person you will be working with.

Schedule and Position

You will become part of a team of four people who together provide staffing from Monday morning to Friday afternoon every week. You will work in teams of two (doubling) and mostly work day shifts on a rotating schedule, with a full-time employment rate, waiting time included during night shifts.

You will always be off during Christmas, New Year, Easter, and Midsummer, and to make this possible, you are scheduled for just over 40 hours a week every other week of the year.

Your work as a personal assistant is performed where the client is located, and your shifts primarily start either in his apartment in the city center or at Din Förlängda Arms day activity in Mjölkudden. During the summer months of June-August, the work is mainly based from his home just outside the city (15 minutes from central Luleå).

1–2 times a year, there may be trips abroad, where you as a personal assistant will accompany and work in another country. The trips are planned in advance to allow you and your colleagues the opportunity to join. During trips, a specially developed schedule applies.
