We are now looking for a Interaction Designer (UX Designer) for a client in the public sector located in Jönköping.

In the role of UX Designer, you will primarily work with the design and further development of digital services and internal operational systems. The client develops everything from simpler e-services to more complex system support. A large part of the assignment involves modernizing existing systems through new design and updated technology.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • Collaborating with requirements analysts and representatives from the organization to identify and ensure needs and requirements. If necessary, visualize complex regulations and requirement images in workshops and meetings.

  • Working closely with UX writers, full-stack developers, testers, and architects.

  • Planning and conducting user and insight work.

  • Creating design concepts and prototypes in Figma, which are continuously anchored with the organization, UX writer, requirements analyst, and development team.

  • Planning, booking, and leading usability tests.

  • Reviewing and quality assuring developed design through UI tests.

  • Participating in regular check-ins with other UX designers within the organization and contributing experiences and lessons learned.

The focus is on creating simple, accessible, and understandable design solutions for different types of users, such as external users and internal employees.

The client works with their own component library and common interaction patterns, which means that you as a designer need to be able to use and further develop these to create consistent and sustainable digital services.

 

Work form and scope

The assignment is approximately 50% and is primarily performed on-site in Jönköping, with the possibility of part-time remote work. The working language is Swedish.

The organization conducts extensive development activities with several parallel initiatives. Depending on needs, other assignments within the same organization may also become relevant over time.

 

Competence level

Level 3

  • Knowledge: High competence in the relevant role

  • Experience: Several years of experience in similar assignments (normally 4–8 years)

  • Leadership: Takes responsibility for their own area

  • Independence: Works with great independence and serves as a role model for more junior consultants

 

Mandatory requirements

  • Relevant education in interaction design, UX design, cognitive science, or equivalent.

  • Experience in designing digital services such as e-services and internal operational systems.

  • Experience working with accessible design.

  • Experience planning and conducting usability tests.

  • Documented experience working in Figma.

  • Very good ability to express oneself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish.

  • Completed training that meets the requirements for digital accessibility according to EN 301 549 before the start of the assignment.

 

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience in UX design within government or other public sector.

  • Experience in UX research.

  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.

If necessary, the client may conduct reference checks after the interview to verify the consultant's competence and previous assignments. The provider is responsible for providing relevant references upon request.
