Social Worker as a Summer/Temporary Substitute

Do you have knowledge about children, youth, and families and want to gain experience working as a summer/temporary substitute within the child and youth authority? We have a need for summer substitutes in our operations and hope you will become one of our new colleagues.
Your New Job
Being a social worker who conducts investigations and follows up on interventions means creating conditions for change with a focus on children's needs and their right to a secure upbringing.
In this position, you will work with children and youth aged 0-20 years and their families at one of our six investigation units. You will be working on investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU, with support from the lead social worker, unit manager, method supporters, and administrators.
As a student, you will receive tailored tasks with extra support from your colleagues and supervisors.
Your Qualifications
We are now looking for individuals who want to work as summer or temporary substitutes in our operations during the summer of 2026. You who apply have one of the following:
- A completed and approved degree in social work
- Have completed at least semester 5 by the summer of 2026 and want to work as a temporary/summer substitute
- Have a valid driver's license (B)
We prefer that you have completed your practical training (VFU) within an authority with good results. It is also an advantage to have knowledge of and previous experience with other authority operations, children and youth in other activities, or with any of the methods Signs of Safety, BBiC, and MI.

In this work, we often meet people in difficult life situations, so it is important that you as a person are secure and stable.
The work requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize as needed. Many contacts in the work occur directly in personal meetings with children, youth, and families, but a large part of the work involves phone contacts with authorities, schools, healthcare, etc., where you need to take the initiative.
You need to have good collaboration skills with both the families you meet and your colleagues and partners. You can see individuals' needs and place them in a holistic perspective. You possess administrative skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Welcome to Us
In this position, you will work with children and youth aged 0-20 years and their families, placed at one of our six units. Currently, these offices are located at Kasernen/A6 or in Huskvarna City Hall.
Good to Know
In this recruitment, 4 summer/temporary substitute positions will be filled, full-time or hours - the scope of work will be determined in consultation with the recruiting manager. Start and end of the substitutes will be according to agreement with the manager. We will prioritize those who can work continuously for 8 weeks.
Selection will take place continuously.

All your employment must be verifiable with certificates indicating position and the extent of your work. Even if you already work with us, you need to present diplomas and employment certificates for positions you have held outside the municipality. Applications that do not meet this will not be prioritized.
