The operation is licensed to provide housing with special services in the form of group housing according to 9§ 9p LSS and targets group 1. The operation consists of six fully equipped apartments of high standard. The group home is located in a quiet and harmonious residential area in central Eksjö, with close proximity to both the city center, public transport, grocery stores, and employment, while still having nature around the corner.

What does the job entail?

As a housing supporter, you will work to support, motivate, and develop the individual's ability to carry out various activities in daily life. Your task is to create structure, predictability, and routines in the individual's everyday life through individually tailored support. Our goal is to create conditions for increased quality of life and good living conditions for the individuals who have the opportunity to create a home in our operation through adapted methods, working methods, and approaches. We want every individual to feel involved and have influence over their life situation and to experience an active and meaningful life in a safe and pleasant environment.

As a housing supporter, you provide support and services in all areas of life where there is a need, and tasks may include:

• Daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping
• Leisure activities, employment, and outings
• Personal care and hygiene
• Social interaction and communication
• Social documentation and the establishment of implementation plans
• Collaboration with relatives, representatives, authorities, and health care
• Supporting and motivating the individual based on needs and abilities to increase independence in their daily life

Who are we looking for?

We are now looking for several housing supporters and/or support pedagogues to join our team!

Working hours are arranged according to our residents' needs and include both weekdays and weekends, varying between day, evening, and awake night shifts. We are also looking for a position that solely involves awake night shifts. Weekend work every other weekend.

We are looking for someone with a big heart for the target group and a strong desire to make a difference for each individual. You enjoy working with people, have a good ability to adapt your approach based on the needs you encounter, and find it easy to collaborate with your surroundings. You are attentive, flexible, solution-focused, and have a sense of service. You should be comfortable facing situations that can be stressful and challenging. You see opportunities in change, take your own initiative, and take responsibility as part of the team to achieve development and desirable results.

Qualifications:

- Relevant education in care and support. We prefer that you are, for example, a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or have another equivalent education.

- Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

- We require good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

- B driver's license

It is highly meritorious if you have:

- Previous experience working with the target group within LSS operations or in another similar operation.

- Experience and education in various relevant methods and approaches such as low-arousal responses, AAC, clarifying pedagogy, and motivational interviewing.

- Experience with comorbidity, complex needs, and challenging behaviors.
