Description

The Authority for Disability and Fees within the Social Services Administration consists of a unit manager, coordinators, assistance officers in disability care, and fee officers.

The organization enables a developing workplace where you have close access to both the manager and coordinator for support and guidance in your role. Our offices are located in bright and fresh premises in the Expo area of Värnamo. In the same building, you will also find some of our closest collaboration partners: Preventive and Care and Rehab. We are now looking for an assistance officer in disability care. The focus of the position is LSS case management.

We operate based on the method Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC) and use the operational system Combine. Legal guidance is also available to support you in your case management work.

Responsibilities

As an assistance officer in disability care, you will primarily handle cases according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and also according to the Social Services Act (SoL). You will investigate, assess needs, and make decisions about services for people with physical, mental, cognitive, and/or intellectual disabilities, as well as follow up on the decided services. The work involves many contacts with users, their relatives, and representatives/advocates, and collaboration with implementers and other partners, both internal and external. Together with your colleagues in the unit, you will work for a good work environment and to ensure legal security.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in Social Work, Social Care Program, or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer. You have good knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines, as well as case management and documentation within the social services area. To succeed in this role, you need the ability to gather information, compile, analyze, and evaluate different courses of action to make assessments that lead to well-motivated decisions. As a person, you need to be self-assured, responsible, meticulous, and structured. You should be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively, which also requires flexibility. Since the work involves many contacts with various partners, you need to be relationship-building and attentive. You must be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and adapt your communication to the person you are in contact with. Experience with the operational systems Combine, Cosmic Link, and the IBIC method, as well as experience in case management according to LSS and SoL and personal assistance, is advantageous. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Conditions

A B driver's license is required. The municipal guidelines allow for occasional remote work up to two days a week if the operations permit. Remote work agreements of up to 50% of working hours may be possible for longer commuting distances.

Selection and interviews may occur continuously during the recruitment period. The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.

In Värnamo Municipality, all permanent positions are advertised full-time. If you prefer part-time and the organization can accommodate a lower employment rate, that is of course an option.
