About the Position

Together with our partner in Gothenburg, we are now looking for an operational buyer for a manufacturing company. In this role, you will work closely with the purchasing team, production, and project managers, becoming an important part of the daily work to ensure material supply to the business.

You will have an operational and business-oriented role with a focus on order placement, delivery monitoring, and supplier contacts, while also contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and collaborations in the supplier chain. The organization is characterized by short decision-making paths, a fast pace, and an unpretentious working style where everyone helps each other to achieve common goals. Through quotation comparisons and business decisions, you will ensure the right price, quality, and delivery precision.

You will have daily contact with suppliers and carriers and collaborate closely with internal functions to ensure efficient flows from needs to delivery in production.

Your tasks will summarize to:

• Operational purchasing and order placement
• Ensure material availability for production and projects
• Delivery monitoring and handling of deviations
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers
• Be responsible for material flows, inventory levels, and logistics optimization
• Support in procurement of materials, contracts, and functional deliveries
• Follow up on supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost
• Participate in the development of processes and routines for a more cohesive Supply Chain work in the future

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least 4 years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably from manufacturing companies
• Has a relevant post-secondary education
• Has good system skills and experience with purchasing or business systems
• Thrives in technical environments and has a basic understanding of technical products
• Is used to working closely with both technology, production, and project organizations
• Is structured and quality-conscious in your working methods
• Has good communication skills and enjoys many contact points
• Is unpretentious, solution-oriented, and takes initiative
• Speaks and writes fluently in Swedish and English

To succeed in this role, you are operationally strong, confident in prioritizing in a day-to-day environment where much happens simultaneously, and motivated by taking responsibility throughout the purchasing and delivery flow. You are proactive and quickly see what needs to be done to secure production's needs.

About the Employment

This is a consultancy assignment with employment at OIO, starting immediately or by agreement.

Scope: Full-time

Location: Central Gothenburg
Salary: Fixed monthly salary
