The work aims to strengthen individual abilities and resources so that they experience their daily life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful.

As a care assistant, you work person-centered towards our residents, creating conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday life with us. Your tasks include personal care and assistance with daily chores such as cleaning and laundry, social stimulation, and medication management. The work involves actively encouraging and motivating residents to participate in and influence their own daily lives and to be as active as possible to maintain or enhance their functional abilities. The role also includes providing care and support at the end of life and palliative care. Documentation and various forms of reporting are also a natural part of your work.

In addition to your relationship with the residents, you collaborate closely with colleagues, coordinators, and unit managers. You also have contact with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and relatives in your work.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title. Experience in elderly care is an advantage. For one of the positions, we particularly value previous experience working in a dementia unit, as one of the positions is located in one of our dementia units.

You have a good command of the Swedish language in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as the work involves daily contact with tenants, colleagues, as well as documentation and information gathering. You have good computer skills and feel confident using digital tools in your daily work. The work also requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a manner appropriate to the situation.

To succeed in the role of care assistant with us, we believe you are confident in your professional role and find it easy to plan and execute your work, both independently and together with your colleagues. You have a stable demeanor with the ability to handle a busy everyday life while remaining calm even in unforeseen or urgent situations. Welcome to us

Trädgården Elderly Home is part of elderly care in Jönköping Municipality and is located in the central parts of Huskvarna, close to both Lake Vättern, green areas, and public transport. Trädgården Elderly Home consists of a total of eight units, of which two are dementia units, one short-term unit, and five units for special housing.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns two permanent full-time positions with start dates according to agreement.

For weekend employment, the working hours are scheduled for the weekend, where you work three consecutive days from Friday to Monday. Exceptions may occur for meetings and training planned on other days.

We work with joint planning, which means that all or parts of your work shift, if necessary, may be scheduled to another unit within our organization.

We may fill additional positions, and offers of employment at another unit may become relevant.
