Do you want to make a real difference in patients' lives? As a stomal nurse/stoma therapist, you are a key person for stoma patients throughout their care journey – both before and after surgery. With us, you will have a meaningful and varied job where the patient is always at the center.

About the role

You will work with both inpatient patients and outpatient visits at the clinic, as well as with cross-clinic assignments and collaborate with primary care and home healthcare. In your daily work, you will collaborate with two experienced stoma therapists who have extensive experience and a great commitment to their task.

In addition to clinical work, our stoma service also conducts:

• Education for patients and relatives
• Supervision and training of healthcare staff
• Continuous improvement and development work

Your future workplace

The Surgery Clinic is primarily responsible for patients with surgical diseases and is organized into four teams: Lower Gastro, Upper Gastro, Breast/Endocrine, and Vascular. Within the lower gastro team, there are currently three stoma therapists – and now you have the opportunity to become one of them.

Your profile

You are a licensed nurse with a few years of experience in healthcare. Meritorious is:

• Specialist training in stoma care or surgical nursing
• Experience working with colorectal patients

If you lack specialist training, there is an opportunity to take it on assignment. You will work closely with stoma therapists, contact nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. We particularly value that you:

• Have an empathetic and professional approach
• Enjoy teamwork but can also work independently
• Are structured, flexible, and confident in your own assessments
