The Role of Speech Therapist

As a speech therapist with us, you will work both individually and in a cross-professional team with assessment, investigation, and treatment in communication, dysphagia, speech, language, voice, and oral motor skills. You work person-centered and focus on the individual and their relatives' best interests. You develop group activities and provide advice and support to parents. You act as consultative support to staff and participate in information and training efforts.

The habilitation center in Region Jönköping County is a consolidated resource that works with specialized interventions for people with permanent disabilities. Here you will find child, youth, and adult habilitation as well as vision center, hearing habilitation, and interpreting center.

The habilitation work is characterized by a holistic approach and is based on an interdisciplinary perspective. The operations are built in teams consisting of various professional groups. Co-creation, meaningfulness, and quality are our core values.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech therapist with an interest in habilitation work. We prefer that you have experience with AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) and various disabilities. You enjoy working in several speech therapy areas, both communication and dysphagia. You want to work with adults of various ages from 18 years and up.

To thrive with us, you find it easy to collaborate and adapt to changing circumstances. You have a pedagogical and independent working style where you are structured and communicative. The work also requires you to be able to view situations from other people's perspectives and have a good understanding of people's different conditions.

Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and a driver's license. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We offer you a developing job in a cross-professional team. You will work closely with your speech therapy colleague in the western adult team. In the building, there are also more speech therapists in our child and adult teams to collaborate with. At the habilitation center, we work based on annual working hours, which gives you great opportunities to influence your working hours.

The position is a full-time temporary position from 2026-04-30 to 2027-09-01. Start date according to agreement. Desired employment rate 75-100%.
