Activity Leader at Bäckagården

Do you want to help create meaningful days for the elderly through activities that enhance joy and community? We are now looking for an activity leader for Bäckagården – a workplace where care, commitment, and residents are at the center. As an activity leader at Bäckagården, you will work with activation in all three of our short-term units and two special housing units. You will plan and lead activities both in groups and individually, always based on the interests and needs of the residents. Together with the care staff, you will create an environment that promotes participation, well-being, and quality of life.

The position also includes working evenings and weekends as a nursing assistant in care work, alongside colleagues at Bäckagården. You will be part of the workgroup at Lagunen, a special housing unit focused on dementia and cognitive impairment.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• plan and implement activities that contribute to well-being and community
• activate both in groups and individually based on the wishes of the elderly
• collaborate closely with care staff and other activity leaders in the municipality
• cooperate with associations, volunteers, and other actors in the community
• search for resources and materials that are useful for activities and more

We are looking for someone who is secure, creative, and attentive, with the ability to inspire others and create activities that make everyday life more meaningful. You also have a good ability to lead and motivate groups, creating a positive atmosphere. You are responsible, enjoy working both independently and with colleagues, and find it easy to meet people with respect and warmth.

The position is a permanent full-time position. Start as soon as possible, by agreement.

About Bäckagården

Bäckagården is a nursing home and short-term accommodation in northern Vetlanda, beautifully located in a park environment next to Vetlandabäcken and Forngården. The operation includes three short-term units and two special housing units. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant
• has the ability to inspire, motivate, and create positive encounters
• is secure, creative, and attentive with good collaboration skills

Experience as a nursing assistant, activity leader, or similar role is an advantage.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
