Physiotherapy Dalarna is a county-wide unit within Region Dalarna that conducts physiotherapy activities at the hospitals in Falun, Ludvika, and Mora. In Falun, there are working groups for Acute Medical Services, Surgical Services, as well as Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and Rheumatology.

Rehabilitation Assistant, Physiotherapy in Falun

One of our colleagues is retiring, and we are now looking for someone who wants to work with us at the Physiotherapy in Falun. We meet patients at most clinics at Falu Hospital, both in inpatient and outpatient care. As a rehabilitation assistant, you are an important part of the team around the patient and work closely with the physiotherapists in the workgroup as well as independently. The work is varied, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the patient's care and rehabilitation with your skills.

We are a welcoming unit consisting of a group of physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants with broad expertise and a strong desire to develop the operations.

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education
• has a diploma from the Health and Care College
• Has the physical ability to work with active transfers
• Since the position may involve driving, a B driver's license is required

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience working in specialized care
• rehabilitation assistant training

Furthermore, we see that you, as an applicant, have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. You meet others professionally and have good collaboration skills. You are responsible and can prioritize between different tasks. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
