Development Manager at Framtidenkoncernen

Framtidenkoncernen has been working since 2020 towards the goal that no areas in Gothenburg should be on the police's list of particularly vulnerable areas by 2030.

We have made great progress and have been entrusted to lead the city's continued work for 2026. We will continue with the initiatives that have proven effective, scale up our efforts, add new initiatives that increase the chances of success, and engage more actors to contribute.

Responsibilities

As a Development Manager, you will play an important role in collaborating with your colleagues to be responsible for implementing the strategy for development areas in close cooperation with our subsidiaries, the City of Gothenburg, and external actors.

You will work with:

• Specifying and realizing the initiatives in the strategy aimed at mobilizing residents in the areas and increasing the attractiveness and safety of the areas.
• Leading, coordinating, and developing the group's collaboration agreements with external actors and initiatives to strengthen the upbringing conditions for children and youth, increase employment opportunities, and contribute to meaningful leisure activities and increased safety in the areas.
• Leading the work in one of the group's joint councils to achieve collaboration between the companies in implementing the strategy for development areas.
• Ensuring that our initiatives and projects within social sustainability can be evaluated and followed up.
• Initiating and maintaining collaborations with actors and organizations that we can cooperate with in our vulnerable areas.
• Representing the group in external contexts on issues related to social sustainability.

You will be part of the parent company's development department, which works with property development, research and development, ecological sustainability, place and area development, and environmental coordination. You will also work closely with employees in other departments of the parent company. You will report to the head of the development department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education or equivalent experience and several years of experience in roles related to social sustainability.

It is advantageous if you have worked in a politically governed organization and have experience from the real estate industry, urban development, and the housing market.

You have solid experience in leading development and change work within complex societal processes and organizations. It is advantageous if you have worked with social issues with private, public, or non-profit actors.

We are looking for someone who can lead, drive, and coordinate collaborative assignments in a complex organization with many actors involved. You need to be a good communicator with a strong ability to collaborate with others and deliver results.

The role does not include personnel responsibility. This means that you need to be a driving person who works independently while also having the ability to engage others without formal management and decision-making authority. Your leadership brings energy, creates engagement, and contributes to a holistic view.

You understand that multiple perspectives need to be balanced in your work, such as social sustainability and business acumen. You need to focus on implementation and have strong problem-solving skills to succeed in the assignment.
