Bräcke municipality and Ånge municipality have a joint committee for building and environmental issues. Bräcke is the host municipality for the committee and the associated administration. The administration currently consists of 17 employees and has offices in both Bräcke and Ånge.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an employee for the Bräcke and Ånge building and environmental administration to work with the examination and supervision of businesses that sell alcohol, tobacco, tobacco-free nicotine products, smoke-free environments, and over-the-counter medications. Advising and providing information to businesses and the public, as well as preparing cases for the committee, are also part of the job. The assignment may also include some supervision regarding food control.

You will be part of a group of Food Inspectors where you will have primary responsibility for the area of alcohol, tobacco, and over-the-counter medications. You will work independently and plan, implement, and follow up on tasks. You will also collaborate across administrative and departmental boundaries as well as with other authorities.

We offer you the opportunity to work in a developing case officer position with many outward-facing contacts and to be an important factor for entrepreneurs. You will also work with the social protection aspect of ensuring that alcohol is served and handled responsibly, contributing to a safer society.

Working hours are primarily during the day, but weekend, evening, and night shifts may occur in connection with supervision. Flexible working hours agreements are available.

Work location is Bräcke and Ånge. There is an opportunity to work partially remotely when the business allows.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a suitable higher education, such as a social worker, lawyer, food engineer, or other education that we consider equivalent. It is an advantage if you also have experience and knowledge of economic auditing, the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco Act, and similar products, or other regulatory activities.

As a person, you are proactive and quickly get into new tasks. You organize and plan your work well, complete what has been started, and meet deadlines. You are innovative, have the ability to drive work forward, and can work both independently and in a team.

You are meticulous, structured, independent, and responsible with the ability to prioritize. You feel comfortable with regulatory activities so that you can impose requirements and make decisions. You are used to working in digital environments, and it is an advantage if you have experience from case management systems within the area of work.

The work is largely outward-facing both via email, phone, and personal meetings, which requires you to express yourself simply and correctly in Swedish in both speech and writing. You have the ability to meet many different types of people with different needs in a professional and respectful manner and see good service as a given.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

You hold a driver's license for a passenger car.
