The Social and Labor Market Administration handles parts of the social services operations in Mölndal. The Foster Home Unit consists of eleven employees divided into two groups, child secretaries and foster home secretaries. The unit also includes two senior social secretaries and a special educator. The unit has a close collaboration with other units within the child and youth area, including investigation teams, security teams, and open care. We have different competencies and backgrounds; what we share is that we are committed and have a strong child perspective. We work closely together, are unpretentious, have fun at work, and provide each other with great collegial support.

In Mölndal, the strength-based approach is obvious, and we have a strong focus on network work by using Signs of Safety. We also work with Parent at a Distance, meaning that the biological parents should be as involved as possible in the lives of the placed children. We in the unit focus on learning from our experiences and developing our work to create the best possible foster care.

Now, one of our child secretaries is going on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a child secretary for a temporary position. You who are applying are interested in working to provide our placed children and youth with a safe and predictable environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a child secretary, you are responsible for following up on the care of placed children and youth, both according to SoL and LVU. You handle all questions that may arise in the child's life. The work aims for the child to have a good development and a favorable school experience. Child secretaries and foster home secretaries work in teams around the placed children.

The work is independent but requires close cooperation with colleagues in the unit as well as with other internal and external partners. Method and process guidance is a natural part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position, you must have a degree in social work and experience working with foster care or authority exercise within children and youth. Since the work is varied and flexible, it is important that you are attentive and empathetic, have good collaboration skills, good knowledge of relevant legislation, and can express yourself easily in speech and writing. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
