We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together.

Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.

Your Role

The Qualification & Integration section currently consists of 21 people with primary responsibilities in Systems, Verification, and Testing of safety-critical avionics systems. We work in teams, and you will report to the team leader and section manager.

The section provides our projects with environmental testers and system testers in various areas of expertise, such as qualification, integration, and verification. We now need to expand the group with additional system testers.

As a System Tester focusing on one or more areas of expertise in the section, your main responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and analyzing system requirements and test plans
  • Transforming requirements into test cases and defining test cases.
  • Creating test specifications
  • Conducting system tests
  • Writing system-level reports

The test cases are implemented in Python, and the requirements management tool we use is Doors.

Aircraft are subjected to significant stresses, and the safety requirements are high. We have a requirements-based development process, which means that the overall customer requirements must be broken down into systems, subsystems, software, and hardware. All requirements must be validated and verified. It will be your task to coordinate requirements development, system architecture, validation, and verification at the system level in our projects.

You will become well-versed in standards for safety-critical development and in Saab's processes, methods, and tools.

In this role, you will interact with many different professional groups such as project managers, designers from various disciplines, system engineers, test system developers, and test engineers. You will also come into contact with our customers. The work provides a broad understanding of the business, from development to production, and there are good development opportunities both within and outside the section.

Travel is not regularly included in the position, but may occur for courses, conferences, or meetings at other Saab sites.

Your Profile

For this role, you need to have an engineering degree in electronics, software, or physics. You should have at least one year of experience working with requirements, verification, and validation, preferably at the system level. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with safety-critical systems and are familiar with requirements management tools. A significant plus if you have ISTQB certification or similar.

As a person, you relate to your surroundings in a responsive and smooth manner. You see opportunities in changes and find it easy to create and maintain relationships. You have a structured approach to work and are eager to take the initiative for improvements and development. You remain calm and stable even in pressured situations.

The position also involves being in contact with large parts of the organization, so it is important to have good collaboration skills, be communicative, and enjoy having a large network. You need to be fluent in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.

You want to work and live up to Saab's values: https://www.saab.com/about/company-in-brief/purpose-and-values (https://www.saab.com/about/company-in-brief/purpose-and-values)

Interviews and selections will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so do not hesitate to submit your application today.
